Engineering Excellence Awards

Recognizing the most significant engineering achievements in Minnesota for more than five decades.

The Engineering Excellence Awards honor consulting engineering projects that demonstrate technical mastery, innovation, complexity, and public benefit. Member firms submit their work for independent evaluation by a cross-sector panel representing public agencies, academia, construction, utilities, and private industry.

Grand Award recipients advance to the national ACEC Engineering Excellence Awards competition, placing Minnesota firms alongside the strongest engineering programs in the country. Winners are celebrated each year at the Engineering Excellence Awards Gala.

Call for Judges

We are recruiting the independent panel that evaluates 2027 project entries. Judges bring perspective from public agencies, academia, construction, utilities, and other sectors outside the competing firms. You do not need to be an ACEC Minnesota member to serve. Members can also nominate a colleague from outside the consulting engineering field.

Judging Review entries in advance, then score together on November 18.

Independence Judges serve independently of the firms competing for awards.
