Lifetime Achievement

The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes an individual for their long-term commitment to the consulting engineering profession and to the community. It is the highest individual honor ACEC Minnesota gives, presented to someone whose career has shaped the profession, the association, and the people who came up alongside and behind them.

2026 Recipient

Katie Toghramadjian, P.E.

Isthmus Engineering

Katie founded Isthmus Engineering in 2002 and built it into a roughly fifty-person, woman-owned firm with a statewide reputation for technical excellence in transportation design. For fifteen years she led MnDOT’s CADD training program, shaping much of the technical workforce that designs Minnesota’s infrastructure today, and she led the industry’s transition to corridor modeling.

Within the council, Katie founded the Design Technology Forum, served as Board President in 2023–24, and currently chairs the Small Business Committee. Across two decades she has mentored and championed women in transportation engineering and supported small firms throughout the industry. Her impact is visible across the membership.
