Foundation Scholarships

ACEC Minnesota supports engineering education and workforce development through its Scholarship Program. These scholarships help students pursuing engineering and land surveying degrees advance their education and prepare for careers in the profession.

The association partners with the Engineering Education Foundation of America (EEFA), a 501(c)(3) charitable organization affiliated with ACEC Minnesota, to administer scholarship awards for Minnesota and regional students. EEFA also engages in broader workforce development and STEM outreach activities.

Minnesota’s consulting engineering firms face increasing workforce pressures driven by retirements and replacement demand. Supporting students pursuing engineering degrees is a critical step in sustaining long-term professional capacity across the state.

How the Scholarship Program Works

Scholarships are available to students who are:

  • enrolled in or accepted to an ABET-accredited engineering or accredited land surveying program

  • entering their sophomore, junior, senior, fifth year, or graduate year in qualifying programs

  • U.S. citizens

Applications are reviewed twice annually in the spring and fall. Scholarship funding amounts and eligibility criteria vary by award.

Support the Scholarship Program

Scholarships reduce financial barriers for students pursuing engineering careers. They support the next generation of technical leaders who will design and deliver the infrastructure and systems that communities rely on. Offering scholarships also strengthens ACEC Minnesota’s workforce development efforts and builds long-term connections between firms and future professionals.

Contributions from firms and members help fund the Scholarship Program. Your support expands opportunities for engineering students and contributes to workforce development in Minnesota and beyond.
