Must downlown and send in this form to register: <a href="../../contents/file/178">2010 Capitol Consulting Day Flyer</a> ACEC/MN members are invited to St. Paul on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to participate in the 12th annual Capitol Consulting Day.  If you register by Feb. 5th a parking pass will be sent to you. Once again, we are offering two tracks. One for those members familiar with the legislative process and plan to meet with legislators and a second for those less familiar with the process, but are interested in learning more about how the legislature works. EVENT SCHEDULE: 8:30 - 9:30 a.m.  TRACKS 1 & 2:  ACEC/MN lobbyist Randy Morris will host a brief planning session to cover issues and coach members on how to effectively interact with legislators.  Several legislators have been invited to present at the planning session. Issues to be addressed include: <ul><li>Procurement policies for use of consultants</li><li>Transportation funding packages </li><li>Indemnification clauses in contracts</li><li>Potential tax on professional services </li></ul>9:30-11:30 a.m. TRACK 1: Meet with legislators to discuss issues facing the engineering community. It's easy to find your legislature and district.  <a href="http://maps.commissions.leg.state.mn.us/website/districts/" target="_blank">Find your legislative district</a>  (Meeting times need to be pre-assigned) See the attachment for more details and to register.TRACK 2: Tour the Capitol, visit the House and Senate Chambers and sit in on a committee hearing.  See the attachment for more details and to register.         11:30 a.m. Optional lunch for purchase* * The Mn/DOT cafeteria is available to grab lunch and debrief for those of you who would like to stay after 11:30 a.m.                 9 TBD State office or Capitol Building false
